Cure
You keep cars off while the concrete gains strength. We will tell you when it is safe to drive on it.

Driveway Replacement: common questions
How long does driveway replacement take?
For a typical home driveway, removal and base preparation often take a day or two, and the pour is usually one day. Then the concrete needs time to cure before cars go on it — commonly about a week. Weather, permits and the size of the job can change this.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on your town. Work on the apron, curb or anything in the public right-of-way often needs a permit. We will go over what is required for your address as part of the estimate.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Four inches is common for passenger cars. Five to six inches is often used for heavier vehicles and at the apron. The right thickness depends on what you park, the soil and local rules.
Concrete or asphalt?
Concrete usually costs more to install but needs less routine maintenance and holds its shape in hot weather. Asphalt is cheaper up front and needs sealing every few years. We only install concrete, and we will tell you honestly if we think it is the wrong fit.
